Overhauled Components
Trudeau Warbird fabricates custom built smoke systems for all types of aircraft. Ranging in size from 3 to 15 gallons, these systems are well built for aerobatic displays and provide a high level of reliability. Activation is wired directly to the control stick for complete flexibility while doing aerial maneuvers, but have "On/Armed" master switches for safety purposes. Our custom built exhaust injector nozzles allow us to customize the smoke trail to the customers needs. A sight gauge instantly shows fluid level, and our heavy duty frame provides a solid platform for the entire assembly.
Trudeau Warbird overhauls (in-house) several of the critical components of T-28's: the Fuel Valve and the Flap Torque Tube. The Fuel Valve comes overhauled with a remanufactured barrel seal, re-machined barrels, and new o-rings. The Flap Torque Tube includes new bearing inserts, hand-fit bushings, and powder coating for a longer life.
Battery Conversions
Trudeau Warbird converts older battery compartment components with a new steel battery hold-down assembly (and an optional cover). This assembly integrates the existing quick battery disconnect mechanism, and retains the same battery location and size. Our system uses two new Optima series of heavy duty batteries, which feature the "AGM" (Absorptive Glass Matte) sealed technology. They offer higher starting amps, no gas-out or leakage, and a longer power reserve than traditional battery installations.

Fuel Sending Units
One of the most requested components are the Fuel Sending Units. We overhaul our units with new potentiometers, then calibrate and ohm them to factory specifications.
Hydraulics
Hydraulic devices are always subject to deterioration, especially on older aircraft. We overhaul many items, including Shimmy Dampeners and Canopy Actuators to new specifications. (Our Shimmy Dampeners are also overhauled with brand new housing castings.) We have many actuators in stock. Please call us with your part number.
Seal Kits
Seal deterioration is one of the main problems in any older aircraft. We have put together all the "O" rings and seals needed to overhaul many of the T-28 hydraulic devices, e.g. Main Gear and Main Gear Actuator, Nose Gear and it's Actuator, the Master Brake Cylinder, and the Nose Gear Shimmy Dampener, as well as the seals necessary for replacement during an oil change. This saves the owner considerable time tracking down part numbers in the IPB, then ordering the individual parts from multiple vendors.
Hats & Shirts
Trudeau Warbird now sells hats and t-shirts with our logo proudly displayed.
The T-Shirts are 100% cotton and come in all sizes from Sm thru 3XL.
Colors are black or....black.
The Hats are embroidered and are adjustable to all head sizes
